FSVP: What Should be Verified, Whether You're the Importer or Not
Sure You're Not the Importer? Even if You're Not, You'll Want to Verify
Take a minute and answer these three key questions to help determine if you could be considered the "Importer":
Did you answer “me” to any of these questions? If so, better have your food safety team recheck your status regarding any products being imported. "Importers" must have a Foreign Supplier Verification program in place on all imported products, as enforcement begins in May 2017.
Do you have a FSVP program in place? Or more importantly, are you able to verify that your "Importer" has all the required records?
